"This bill would give democracy a 21st century makeover to make voting more accessible," said Assemblywoman Linda Greenstein, D-Mercer,. She's sponsoring the measure Assemblymen Paul Moriarty, D-Gloucester, Wayne P. DeAngelo, D-Mercer, and Nelson Albano and Matthew W. Milam, both D-Cape May.

The measure, which was introduced in June, has been referred to the Assembly's State Government Committee, which has not yet scheduled a hearing on it. Sen. Jeff Van Drew, D-Cape May, is sponsoring identical legislation in that chamber.
